Simply put, Tapping is a gentle way to get your system’s attention so it can shift from stress and anxiety into a calmer, more balanced state.
People often describe it as taking logic into the body.
For example, logically we know we don’t need to grab snacks late at night. But before we know it, we’re standing in the kitchen with a bag of chips or a sleeve of cookies.
That’s because the reactive mind is running the show, not the logical mind. The reactive mind acts first, and the logical mind comes in later to explain it.
Tapping works by calming the reactive mind so you can respond instead of react.
